How To Play A Blues Ending

Show off your chops at the jam session by leading and ending the song!

When it comes to jamming over the blues, one of the most important lessons to learn is how to end a blues song.  Plenty of guitarists learn how to play rhythm guitar lead guitar to beef up the middle of a song, but it won’t do them much good if they don’t know how to  end it.  Whether you’re getting ready for a jam session or just want to practice your blues guitar chops, I found a video that should help you out.  I hope you enjoy it and learn something new!

Andy Paoli over at andyslab.com offers up a video that provides some of the basic turnarounds to end a blues song.  Check out his advice at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea6TvaVqcKk.

Hopefully that video gives you some new ideas when it comes to ending blues songs.  And what’s even cooler is you can use any of these endings and figure out your own variations with them.  Subscribe now to Mike’s Guitar Talk to receive helpful guitar advice just like this post e-mailed directly to your inbox everyday.

Thanks and stay tuned for more!
